Above Ground Pool Installation Costs
Some companies and services will install your above ground pool for you at a cost, if you really don’t wish to deal with the installation process then this can be a good idea if you don’t mind the initial outlay.
However, many people won’t want to pay professionals who may charge as much as $1000 for a single pool installation. Of course the price may vary depending on size and location, however it will still be a sizeable dent in your finances. For those who don’t wish to pay out, installing the pool yourself is the only option!
How To Install An Above Ground Pool Yourself
If you decide not to pay someone else to handle your above ground pool installation then doing it yourself can be quite simple if you follow these simple steps.
Above Ground Pool Installation
Step One: Gather up all leaves, twigs, rubble and anything else that you may find on the ground. Use a rake and shovel to clean out the ground, once the floor is clean you can move onto the next step.
Step Two: Level out the ground where the pool will be placed. You will need to mark out the area and make sure it is flat, the area should also be free of grass, stones and twigs.
Step Three: Once the ground is levelled out and clear of all debris you can put down some sand (this is not always required but a good idea). This will mean the ground is completely clear of any objects that shouldn’t be there and might damage the pool. If your pool came with a plastic ground cloth you should place it on top of the sand or directly on the ground if you didn’t use sand.
Step Four: After this is complete get your above ground pool liner and stretch it out on the tarp and then begin to put the rails together. If the pool is inflatable then you simply inflate the pool. Once this is done you can begin filling the pool slowly with water and work out all the creases and wrinkles. Removing the wrinkles is very important so make sure this is done properly.
Step Five: As the water fills make sure the pools has no dips, if one pool wall is taking more pressure than the other walls then it is very likely to tear over time. All the walls of the pool should take the exact same amount of pressure to stop this from possibly happening. If you levelled out properly to begin with this shouldn’t be an issue.
Step Six: You will want to connect your hoses and pumps as the pool is filling. Make sure you follow the manufacturer’s instructions to ensure that it functions correctly. Once the water is filled, assemble the pool ladder or steps and place them where you want to be.
After the construction is complete all you have to do is add the necessary chemicals to ensure the water stays clear. If you experience cloudy water you will need to shock your pool water to get it crystal clear.
